Warning: spoilers ahead

Like many (if not all) Bachelor Nation followers, I was so confused at last night’s premiere of The Bachelor. Why the fuck did Hannah B. show up to the mansion? That’s the question of the hour. Did she want closure? Did she want Peter to drop everything and pick her, choose her, love her? Whatever motive she had behind showing up (not once, but twice), it’s totally not cool.

There’s clearly still a major connection between Peter and Hannah B. Did you see the way they were speaking to each other while he was supposed to be on a group date with some of the new girls? In case you missed it, Hannah B. was basically saying how she messed up by sending Peter home when it was down to the final three on her season of The Bachelorette. As if it couldn’t get more dramatic (Chris Harrison is probably living for this), Peter mentions the thought of her joining the other girls back at the mansion. WTF?! And to make matters worse, all the girls on Peter’s group date are getting ready to share a personal sex story in front of a live audience while a man who they think could be their future husband is having a heart-to-heart conversation with his ex girlfriend. Sound messy? It was.

I was team Hannah and Peter when The Bachelorette was airing.

I wanted them to end up together (primarily because Jed seemed fake from the beginning and I wanted to date Tyler C. myself) once I realized how much Peter liked Hannah. She seemed to be totally into him too, and then confused everyone when she sent him home- especially after how amazing she made her night in the windmill out to be. I’m sure it took a lot for Peter to get over her (as much as he could), and accepting his role as The Bachelor was probably driving him even more to move on. It really wasn’t fair for her to walk out of that limo and basically make him start from scratch and confuse the fuck out of him, for a lack of better words.

We obviously know there’s a full season ahead, and we know Hannah went back to Dancing With The Stars while this was all being filmed. It still was not fair to Peter or the other women who put their whole lives on hold for a chance to find love with him for Hannah B. to show up. The Bachelor producers have always put us through a lot, but never anything like this. If this is any indication of how 2020 is going to turn out, it’s going to be intense.

All we can do is patiently (yeah, right) wait for next Monday’s episode to air so we can find out wtf went down throughout the rest of that group date. The previews are already showing a lot of tears, so I can only imagine how dramatic and emotional this season is going to be.
